New Barron Prize Blog!
Here at the start of a brand new year, we’re excited to launch something brand new on the Barron Prize website – a blog!
In it, we’ll share more about the ideas we hold dear: the power of every person to make a positive difference to the world; the importance of young people’s impassioned voices and determined actions to affect change; and the great hope we can all draw from young heroes’ inspiring examples.
We’ll also share the words of some of our Barron Prize winners as they write about the ways they are dreaming big, overcoming obstacles, and affecting change. And, when we come across writing in that same vein that others have done and that inspires us, we’ll share that with you, as well.
We hope this blog will serve as a source of inspiration and hope. We’re so grateful for young heroes’ work to change the world. And we’re also grateful to be able to share with you their stories of courage, compassion, and goodness!
The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes celebrates inspiring, public-spirited young people from diverse backgrounds all across North America. Each year, the Barron Prize honors 25 outstanding young leaders ages 8 to 18 who have made a significant positive difference to people and the environment.
