We love the new opportunities each January brings, including the launch of our next cycle of the Barron Prize! Applicants can now access our 2024 online application and begin compiling their materials. Applications are due April 15, with winners announced in late September.

The Barron Prize honors students ages 8 to 18 across North America who are making a significant positive impact on their communities and the environment. Each year, we celebrate 25 young heroes and award $10,000 to 15 top winners. We also arrange extensive media opportunities for our honorees so that their stories and heroic ideals can inspire others.

Barron Prize young heroes are leading service projects that are helping other people and the planet. Recent winners are doing all sorts of good work — including feeding the hungry, combatting climate change, encouraging reading, inventing life-saving technologies, creating new ways to protect honeybees, and more. Most importantly, our young heroes demonstrate great courage, compassion, perseverance, and authenticity. They remind us of the power we each hold to make a meaningful difference.

Young people are invited to apply by completing our online application. It includes an essay and three letters of recommendation, which references submit through our online platform. Many applicants also include supplemental materials such as links to their websites and social media pages.
